As a basic 4K LED TV from Sony, Sony X80CK Direct LED backlight that completed with Frame Dimming. Frame Dimming is not as advanced as local dimming but it’s still able to delivers good contrast vibrancy with additional Object-based HDR remaster that reproduces greater depth and textures as well as Dynamic Contrast Enhancer that can adjust the screen brightness to match the environment’s lighting condition. Triluminos Pro is the color technology integrated with Sony X80CK that can deliver rich and accurate color details. The color is also enhanced by Live Color Technology that can deliver more lively color details. 4K X-Reality Pro is integrated with 4K UHD resolution of Sony X80CK. It can bring excellent picture clarity from both original 4K content sources and non 4K contents that upscaled into near 4K picture quality. Sony X80CK already supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG so that we can enjoy enhanced details and expanded contrast from wide range of HDR content sources. The motion technology of Sony X80CK is Motionflow XR 240 that based on 60Hz native refresh rate. Although it’s quite basic motion technology, it’s still able to deliver smooth motion images for our favorite movies and sports. It also supports Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) to brings better gaming experience. 4K HDR Processor X1 is the picture processor integrated with Sony X80CK to optimize the color, clarity and contrast of the picture delivered on the screen of this TV. Google TV (Android TV) is the operating system of Sony X80CK. It allows us to enjoy wide collection of entertainment from our favorite content providers while also allows us to run wide collection of smart apps with access to Google Play Store. We can also find 802.11ac wireless (WiFi 5) integrated with this TV to help us conveniently connect this TV to our home network. We can also enjoy 4K HDR OTA (Over the Air) entertainment with Sony X80CK since it’s already completed with ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV). We can control Sony X80CK conveniently with its included Premium Backlit remote control that has built-in microphone for Voice Control. Premium Backlit remote also allows us to control this TV in the dark watching environment. It’s also completed with finder function to help us find it if it’s misplaced. We can also use Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa (need more setup) and Apple HomeKit/AirPlay to control this TV since they are already supported. The speaker system integrated with Sony X80CK is quite basic 2CH 20W bass reflex speaker. Although it’s completed with X-Balanced speaker that still allows us to enjoy good sound quality, I’m sure that you need to attach additional soundbar if you are looking for more powerful surround sound. It’s also a good idea to setup more advanced AV system with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) that is already supported by this TV to enjoy higher quality audio formats.
