Sony X80CJ is introduced as an exclusive basic 4K LED TV series from Sony’s 2021 TV lineup that already support Dolby Vision. Besides Dolby Vision, Sony X80CJ also supports HDR10 and HLG that allows us to enjoy enhanced details and expanded contrast from wide range of HDR content sources. The backlight technology of Sony X80CJ is Direct LED that completed with frame dimming. It’s already able to deliver good contrast although it’s not as excellent as Full Array LED backlight with local dimming. The contrast of Sony X80CJ is also enhanced by Object-based HDR remaster and Dynamic Contrast Enhancer. Object-based HDR remaster can reproduces greater depth and textures while Dynamic Contrast Enhancer can adjust the contrast brightness according to the environment lighting condition. 4K X-Reality PRO is integrated on top of 4K UHD resolution of Sony X80CJ. It allows us to enjoy excellent picture clarity not only from original 4K content sources but also from non 4K content sources that upscaled into near 4K content sources. Sony X80CJ already comes with Triluminos Pro that allows us to enjoy rich and accurate color details. The color is also enhanced by Live Color Technology that can brings more lively color details. 4K HDR Processor X1 is the picture processor integrated with Sony X80CJ. It can optimizes the color, clarity and contrast of the picture delivered on the screen of this TV. The motion technology of Sony X80CJ is Motionflow XR 240 that based on 60Hz native refresh rate. Sony X80CJ indeed doesn’t support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), FreeSync, G-Sync and HDMI 2.1 so that it’s less immersive when it comes to more advanced action gaming.
