TCL S546 is introduced as part of TCL’s 2021 TV lineup. It’s closely related to TCL 535 that use Roku TV operating system and introduced earlier in 2020. TCL S546 already comes with QLED display that brings Quantum dot color. Quantum Dot Color allows us to enjoy rich and accurate color details with Wide Color Gamut. The backlight technology of TCL S546 is Full Array LED that completed with Contrast Control Zones. Full Array LED with Contrast Control Zones allows us to enjoy vibrant contrast on the screen of this TV while also provides superior light uniformity. TCL S546 is not only able to delivers excellent picture clarity from original 4K content sources but also from non 4K contents that upscaled into near 4K picture quality with Smart 4K Upscaling integrated that with AiPQ Engine. AiPQ Engine is also able to enhances the color, clarity and contrast of the picture delivered on the screen of TCL S546. TCL S546 already supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG so that we can enjoy enhanced details and expanded contrast from wide range of HDR content sources. TCL S546 comes with Natural Motion 240 that based on 60Hz native refresh rate. Natural Motion 240 is able to brings fluid motion images for our favorite action movies and sports. It also can delivers good gaming experience with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) although it’s indeed less immersive when it comes to advanced action gaming with its 60Hz native refresh rate and the absent of HDMI 2.1. Google TV is the operating system integrated with TCL S546. It can delivers wide range of premium entertainment from our favorite content providers with fast internet connection provided by 802.11ac 2×2 Dual Band. We can control TCL S546 conveniently with our voice using its included RC902N voice remote control. We can also use Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa since they are already supported. The speaker system that integrated with TCL S546 is quite basic. It comes with 2Ch speaker system with 8W+8W audio output (75-Inch : 15W+15W). It’s indeed still able to delivers good sound quality, but it’s a good idea to attach additional AV system to enjoy higher quality audio formats since It already supports eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel).
