Sony X90CH is able to deliver excellent contrast vibrancy and superior light uniformity with its Full Array Local Dimming backlight that completed with X-Tended Dynamic Range. The contrast is also improved by Object-based HDR remaster that reproduce more natural contrast and Dynamic Contrast Enhancer that automatically adjust the brightness according to the environment condition. Sony X90CH already supports HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision that allow us to enjoy enhanced details and expanded contrast from wide range of HDR content sources. Sony X90CH Pros & Cons

Pros

1. Excellent Contrast with Local Dimming

Sony X90CH is able to deliver excellent contrast on its screen as It comes with X-Tended Dynamic Range. It’s even better with Full Array LED and local dimming that integrated with its screen. Full Array LED backlight with local dimming is able to deliver decent contrast uniformity while brings better contrast between the brightest and darkest part of the TV screen.

2. Decent Motion Handling

Sony X90CH comes with X-Motion Clarity as its motion technology. X-Motion Clarity is based on 120Hz native refresh rate. X-Motion Clarity is able to deliver smooth motion images for our favorite action movies and sports. It’s also able to bring minimum input lag when we use this TV as our gaming monitor.

3. NextGen TV, HDMI 2.1 and eARC Support

Sony X90CH is already completed NextGen TV (ATSC 3.0). NextGen TV allows us to receive over-the-air 4K UHD entertainment. It’s also capable to deliver HDR and Wide Color Gamut contents over-the-air. 1. Average Side Viewing Angle

Sony X90CH comes with VA Panel that comes with more limited side viewing angle. It also doesn’t come with X-Wide Angle technology. With VA Panel that’s not completed with X-Wide Angle, Sony X90CH is only able to deliver average side viewing angle. We can find that the higher Sony LED TV model with X-Wide Angle as well as other LED TV model that use IPS panel is able to deliver better side viewing angle than Sony X90CH.

2. Basic Audio Power Output

Sony X90CH is only completed with 10 W + 10 W audio power output. It’s indeed still able to deliver good sound quality with Acoustic Multi-Audio and X-Balanced Speaker speaker type. But for sure it’s recommended to attach additional soundbar if you have higher audio expectation.
