Samsung QE1C Short Review

Samsung QE1C
Samsung QE1C

Samsung QE1C is introduced as a new series in Samsung’s 2023 TV lineup. There’s no predecessor of Samsung QE1C in Samsung’s 2022 TV lineup. Samsung QE1C is positioned below Samsung Q60C. Samsung Q60 was previously the most affordable QLED 4K TV series in 2022, but in 2023 we can find Samsung QE1C introduced as the most affordable one.

Samsung QE1C comes with Quantum Dot Color on top of its QLED display. With Quantum Dot Color, Samsung QE1C can deliver wide color gamut so that we can enjoy rich and accurate color details on its screen. We can also enjoy good contrast between the brightest and darkest part of the VA panel of Samsung QE1C although Samsung QE1C is not completed with local dimming that can make the details and textures more lively and realistic.

4K UHD resolution of Samusng QE1C is completed with 4K Upscaling so that we can enjoy excellent picture clarity from both original 4K content sources and non 4K that upscaled into near 4K picture quality. The color, clarity and contrast of Samsung QE1C are optimized by Quantum Processor Lite 4K that integrated as the picture processor of this TV. Samsung QE1C already supports HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10 and HLG so that we can enjoy enhanced details and expanded contrast from wide collection of HDR content sources.

Motion Xcelerator is the motion technology integrated with Samsung QE1C. It’s only based on 60Hz native refresh rate but still can deliver smooth motion images for our favorite action movies and sports. But 60Hz native refresh rate is still not excellent enough to bring immersive gaming experience. We can also find that Samsung QE1C only supports Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) to enhance gaming experience without Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), FreeSync and G-Sync support.

TIZEN OS is the operating system integrated with Samsung QE1C. TIZEN OS is able to deliver wide range of premium entertainment from our favorite content providers while also allows us to run additional TIZEN smart apps. To help us easily connect this TV to our home network, 802.11ac wireless is already attached to this TV. We can control Samsung QE1C conveniently with its included SolarCell remote as well as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Bixby that already supported.

The speaker system integrated with Samsung QE1C is quite basic 2CH 20W. Although it’s quite basic, we can still enjoy good sound quality with Object Tracking Sound Lite (OTS Lite) that can track every motion on the TV screen for more realistic sound experience. But it’s surely a good idea to attach additional soundbar if you are looking for more powerful sound. We can also setup more advanced AV system with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) of this TV to enjoy higher quality audio formats.
