Samsung Q6DA is introduced as basic QLED TV series below Samsung Q7DA in Samsung’s 2021 QLED TV lineup. It’s an exclusive version of Samsung Q60A that offered mainly by club retailers. As the basic QLED TV series, Samsung Q6DA comes with Quantum Dot Color that brings 100% color volume for rich and accurate color details. The backlight technology of Samsung Q6DA is Dual LED that can delivers more natural contrast across its LED display. 4K Upscaling is integrated with 4K UHD resolution that allows us to enjoy excellent picture clarity not only from original 4K content sources but also from non 4K contents that upscaled into near 4K picture quality. Samsung Q6DA already supports HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG that allows us enjoy enhanced details and expanded contrast from wide range of HDR content sources. The color, clarity and contrast of Samsung Q6DA are optimized by Quantum Processor 4K Lite that integrated as the picture processor of this TV. Samsung Q6DA comes with Motion Xcelerator that based on 60Hz native refresh rate. Although it’s quite basic motion technology, we can still enjoy fluid motion images for our favorite action movies and sports. We can also find Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) integrated with this TV to brings better gaming experience. TIZEN OS is the operating system integrated with Samsung Q6DA. It can delivers wide range of premium entertainment from our favorite content providers with fast internet connection provided by 802.11ac wireless. TIZEN OS also allows us to run wide collection of TIZEN smart apps on the screen of this TV. The remote control that included with Samsung Q6DA is environmentally friendly TM2180E SolarCell Remote. 1. 100% Color Volume
Samsung Q6DA already comes with Quantum Dot Color on top of its QLED display. Quantum Dot Color allows us to enjoy rich and accurate color details as it’s able to delivers Wide Color Gamut with 100% color volume.
2. Good Contrast Vibrancy
Samsung Q6DA is able to delivers good contrast vibrancy with deep black and natural contrast using its VA panel that completed with Dual LED backlight. Samsung Q6DA indeed only comes with frame dimming with edge backlight so it still can be better if it’s using local dimming.
3. Affordable Price
As the basic QLED TV series, Samsung Q6DA is offered at the affordable price than the other QLED TV series from Samsung’s 2021 TV lineup. It’s the one that you should choose if you are looking for QLED TV but you have more limited budget.
Cons
1. No Local Dimming
Samsung Q6DA doesn’t come with local dimming as well as Full Array LED backlight. It only comes with frame dimming on top of standard Direct-Lit LED backlight. Although Samsung Q6DA is already able to delivers good contrast vibrancy, it’s surely more excellent if it comes with Full Array LED backlight with local dimming
2. No VRR, FreeSync, G-Sync and HDMI 2.1
The motion technology of Samsung Q6DA is Motion Xcelerator that support Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) based on 60Hz native refresh rate. It’s indeed still able to delivers low input lag for our favorite action movies and sports but for sure it can be better. We can find that Samsung Q6DA doesn’t support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), FreeSync and G-Sync while it’s also not completed with HDMI 2.1. Additional VRR, FreeSync, G-Sync and HDMI 2.1 allows us to enjoy more immersive gaming experience.
3. Standard Speaker System
The speaker system that integrated with Samsung Q6DA is quite basic 2Ch 20W speaker system. Although it’s still able to delivers good sound quality, I’m sure that it can’t meet your expectation if you are looking for more powerful surround sound without additional soundbar. Samsung Q6DA is already completed with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) that allows us to enjoy higher quality audio formats with additional AV system.
